I am fairly new to loosing "again" if you know what i meen, and i find it hard to give myself the boost to even go for a walk due to lack of enery.. now I know i have to get up off my butt and go, as it is very importanat to excersise but where do you get the energy to get going? Any insights?

I sometimes say to myself, right today you only need to do... something ridiculously small, say five minutes on the treadmill. This way things don't seem to daunting. Usually once I am going then I am able to do more, but if I really don't want to then I do the minimum I promised myself and then stop. This is rare and usually lets me know that I need a break from exercise. But just that promise of an absolute minimum will usually get me up and going. Hope this helps.

Can you get up the energy to put on sweats and shoes?

That's the worst of it for me. The making up of my mind. Once the sweats and shoes are on, all I have to do is pull open the door. One step becomes two and before I know it, I've been out wandering for an hour, had time to think about stuff, talked to myself, talked to some neighbors, petted a few dogs and I get home refreshed.

Try not to think of a walk as exercise. Think of it as "you time". Go out and relax.
