Question on Hormone Replacemt Therapy - Doctors Advice Much

Options
I've been on MFP for about 6 months now and I had great success with it. Everything was going wonderful and I was losing weight well. Then 5 weeks ago, my gyno changed my hormone therapy from a "patch" I had been using for 2 years (had really bad complications) to an oral hormone pill taken daily. I have gained 9 pounds in 5 weeks despite doing basically the same thing I've been doing prior to that!! I am so frustrated cause I am now back at square one in my weight loss efforts.

My question is directed toward those women in their 50's who have been, or are currently taking HTR, or any doctors with knowledge of HRT.

Did you notice a gain or very slow weight loss when this was introduced into your world? I'm wondering what you did about it (if anything) and whether the gains eventually leveled off. I can not keep sustaining this kind of rapid gain much longer.

Stopping HRT is not an option at this point. If I did, there would likely be bloodshed.......
