Step Class

OK, I do not have an HRM (too expensive for me)....now I'm doing a class at the gym today after work called step circuit....now what would I log that as? Its a 50min class....and if you use one of the raised step things what the lowest height? 6-8 inches?? Thanks!!!

I know the Step Circuit at LA Fitness (where I go) you burn according to there website roughly 500 calories for that hour and thats based off 150lb person. So if you just take 3.33 x your weight you get your calories burned. If the intensity level is higher then your burn will be higher but I'm not sure how to calculate that
Only way to know 100% though is the HRM (which I'm saving up for myself)
