How is your self esteem now?

Do you feel cocky or do you still feel self conscious from time to time?

Do you get checked out more often, and feel good about it?

Do people treat you differently?

I know this is straight forward, but I am just wondering how you felt since you had your transformation.

I also hit my goal weight, but i'll answer these questions later. :)

A lot better. I feel a lot more confident doing physical activities that I did not feel comfortable doing, or cute summery clothes I feel better in.

Still self conscious from time to time.

Yes. At the gas station, at the grocery store. I also work at a gym so I interact with a lot of men.

    Do people treat you differently?
Mmm... I don't really think so. Not that I have noticed, aside from more male attention.

A fat *kitten* hole will be a skinny *kitten* hole.
A fat nice person will be a smaller nice person.

You see where I am going with this?

Those who base their personalities around the way they look will be in for a world of hurt. What if you get injured and can never workout again? Your personality and confidence comes from the inside out. Even when I was 300lbs I was still confident and I was still an *kitten* at times.

Now, the only thing that changed is my weight, but I am the same ol' Fitness.

My brain is *finally* starting to catch up with the rest of me. Today was the first time I've ever looked in the mirror and actually liked what I saw.

For me, anyway, my brain is a few months behind my body in terms of transformation.

My self esteem is poor but improving. I think it's a case of getting used to my new body, combined with the fact that weight loss is only half of the journey to the body I want.
I feel exceptionally self conscious, more than ever.
Yes I get checked out more often but it makes me uncomfortable.
People do treat me differently. A lot better. I have been offered work and social opportunities that would never have been open to me before I lost weight.

Self esteem: Still pretty low. I still see a 250 lb guy in the mirror.
Cocky: I'm pretty much the same guy. I'll always be self concious
Do I get checked out: I don't really notice. If so it's kind of embarassing yet flattering.
How I treat people: The same. But my Mom's nickname for me has always been a-hole.
  • About two years ago I was 160 then went down to 144. So while I am no where near that weight now I believe I can still answer this.

How is your self esteem now?
Pretty crappy. There are days when I "have nothing to wear" First world problem, I know. But still, it feels like an outfit I wore last week just doesn't look right this week. I feel pretty unattractive and I never want to go out. Before, when I was 144, I like to go out anywhere and I felt pretty confident.

Do you feel cocky or do you still feel self conscious from time to time?
I wouldn't say I felt cocky but I didn't worry too much about how I looked.

Do you get checked out more often, and feel good about it?
I used to get checked out. Now I don't but that might be because of my husband beside me or my daughter. Nah it's probably really because of the weight. :D

    Do people treat you differently?
I haven't noticed any different treatment from when I was at a healthier weight and now.

--- Great in regards to what my body is capable of, still fairly crappy in regards to my appearance

Do you feel cocky or do you still feel self conscious from time to time?
--- Definitely not cocky, although I am proud of what I've done. Still self-conscious a lot of the time

Do you get checked out more often, and feel good about it?
--- My shallow goal is to get ogled at the gym... it still hasn't happened. :(

    Do people treat you differently?
--- Yes, a lot differently. Probably 1000000x better. Sad, but true.

How is your self esteem now? ** It is better. Not 100%, but better than it was.

Do you feel cocky or do you still feel self conscious from time to time? ** I'm somewhere in the middle. I'm not cocky at all and I'm not nearly as self conscious as I used to be either. I'm just happy and content in the middle.

Do you get checked out more often, and feel good about it? ** I don't pay any attention to whether or not I'm getting checked out. *shrug*

Do people treat you differently? ** Actually, I've had people I've known for awhile treat me worse now that I've lost the weight. I'm not sure why -- jealousy? I don't really notice a difference in how strangers treat me? *shrug*
