A friend of mine has a daughter that is selling magazines. I was going to get a subscription to one and thought about a cooking one. Are there any good cooking magazines that you buy or would suggest as a good one to get?

We get several here at my house:
    Food & Wine
    Cook's
    Taste of Home
    Saveur
The Baking Sheet - King Arthur Flour

We prepare more items from Cook's than any other magazine we get.

Try Cooking Light, some of the others have a lot of calorie dense recipes.

I like Cooking Light. Go to the drugstore and look through a few to see which ones you like.

Eating Well is another good one. I like that they use mainly real food (not substitutes) and have reasonable calories recipes in their regular recipes, as well as low-cal options.

Cooking light is also a good option. They include non-recipe articles that are very interesting.

Both mags also have many of their recipes online, but I enjoy looking over the magazines at home.

I have subscriptions to Cooking Light and Food Network. I have had Cooking Light for almost ten years and have never thought about cancelling it - I love it! Food Network is fun and frequently has interesting articles on technique and interviews with popular celebrity chefs, but the recipes are often waaaaayyyyy unhealthy.

Another good one is All You. It's not a cooking specific magazine, but they always have a good selection of healthy recipes, along with tons and tons of tips to save money and coupons to clip.

Yep, I get mine from the Half Price Books and I have actually used the recipes from Cooking Light. I like the fact that I have the ingredients on hand.
