Water and Weight

I'm wondering about the importance of drinking enough water daily. I usually drink 64oz of water while at work and continue to drink more water when I get home. I only drink water- no soda, falvored waters, etc.
Lately, I've been doing really well with eating a healthy/balanced lunch and dinner and yet it seems like I have gained weight.
I think I've been a little lacking on getting in my full 64 ounces of water while at work and haven't been drinking as much when I get home. Could this be part of my weight gain? It's super frustrating.
Thoughts?
