Today is my Mom's birthday and we're going to eat Mexican Food. Any ideas to keep the calories as low as possible? I really do not want to use today as my cheat day...but I just might have to :drinker:

If it has corn you're pretty much going to die.

Kidding aside, if you're due for a cheat day soon, Mom's birthday would be a great occasion to use that on.

Fajitas. It's just lean grilled meat and veg. Lay off the sour cream and cheese. I usually eat one tortilla, depends on how many calories I have to burn. I can usually manage 1-2 tortillas (our place has whole wheat ones, which I like better) and some guacamole. The hard thing is staying away from the chips and salsa. Chicken Tortilla Soup is usually a decent choice too.

Why not just choose what you will enjoy most and ask for a to go box. Put half of your food in the box before you start eating so you won't be tempted to eat it all, and bring the rest home for another meal.

Fajita salad -- no cheese, guac, sour cream, or dressing.

Typing that made me sad :frown:
