Is Saggy Skin Inevitable?

I've been the same size for years at this point and even when I was "small" I never had what some people would call a small or flat stomach. My question is, is the "Star Jones" type of stretch and sag inevitable? Is there something that I (or anyone else who may be wondering) can do to avoid it with weight loss? By the end of my 25lb intervals, I want to lose a total of 100 lbs. Anyone have any advice about that or experience with it?

my opinion is that when you lose weight at a very fast pace then saggy skin is more likely to happen. It also depends on how big you were to start. I know of some insurances that will cover skin remaval if it becomes a big problem. i would look into it, but wait until you actually see the skin problems first.

It really depends on the person, genetics, age, amount lost, etc etc etc.

You might get it, you might not.

One suggestion I can make is to make sure you stay well-moisturized, starting now, not after you've lost the weight. Cocobutter is great for this, it helps improve skin elasticity.

I've heard about the cocoa butter idea. Makes sense too.. I think I'll try that. I haven't noticed any saggy skin, but yeah I am trying my BESTEST (lol) to avoid it!

    God Bless you all!

I was so worried about that too. I've gone up and down my whole adult life. In Total I've lost about 50 pounds so far (about 30 on mfp) and still have 100+ to go. I've been using something that tighten, tones and firms, and it's helped me keep off the inches i lose and really lifts everything. Those along with the weight training has really helped me so far.
