Exercise for Novice

Other than walking / treadmill can anyone suggest a workout routine for a novice. I feel like I'm allergic to the gym. (lol) To be honest, I don't know where to start when I walk through the door other than to hop on the treadmill. I've been told that in order to lose weight quickly I need to concentrate on cardio and save the weights for later. Suggestions anyone?

Head to your local library and check out some of thier workout dvds. Try a few different ones and see which one you like best.
The best type of cardio is the kind that you like to do:)0 -
i did 10 minutes on everything when i first started, to get a feel for the different equipment and what works for me. just have a go on anything, low intensity, i use the stationary bike most and the rowing machine0
