In a rare moment of weakness, I was strongly considering getting a snack from the vending machine. While contemplating my selection I saw a big fatso walk into the bathroom and thought better of it, my shiny apple will do just fine…inspiration comes in many forms my friends. Stay strong!

Agree... Many, Many forms
BTW...((You are not a Fatso)) Your Awesome, Love you Bunches!!!!!0 -
I've done this plenty of times, but I agree whatever works!
When I lost weight back in high school my motivation was proving my step mom wrong, who "wanted" me to lose weight as long as it wasn't as fast or as much as she was losing. So when my diet was working she would try to discourage me and I would just use it as motivation...wow that actually sounds bad huh?0 -
No, you are not a Fatso....but I agree as well. Whatever it takes to get you there!!!
I say as long as the Fatso doesn't know you were referring to them, it's okay. But I may be wrong about that. ))0 -

I *love* your disclaimer !! :flowerforyou:0 -
ha,love it! whatever works! i also judge other overweight people choices ,which makes me uncomfortable since im fat too,but it is enlightening at times, esp watching peoples choices on buffets and grocery shopping...but there is those infuriating people who make consistently bad food choices and stay slim regardless, like my hubby...0

Yeah, I feel a little judgy when I do that, but people who are fatter than me are as much of an inspiration as people who are thinner. Motivation psychology tells us that people are motivated more strongly by fear of a negative outcome than they are by hope of a positive. So I guess it appeals to the darker nature in all of us.0

Obviously I'm kidding (mostly) but the vending machine story is really true. And there are many times that I see someone that reminds me of the old me or hear about someone with a health problem, anything from an upset stomach to a heart condition, that might have been prevented if they made better choices and it makes me happy that I've made these changes. It also makes me think twice before screwing up or taking a day off.....or getting something out of the vending machine.0

whatever works...yes, even those comparisons...
After I quit smoking many years ago, everyone who smoked was a stinky smoker and I couldn't be near them...but really helped me stay away from the coffin nails0 -
