SBF2: Reboot Boogaloo! May 9th

Up early to teach the three yoga classes. Hope my brain is ready for it.

Did lots of walking yesterday. Couldn't jog though. My shoes were hurting my feet. I think it's time for another pair. I have about 5 pair of sneakers, but I like to rotate them - so I need one more to go into the rotation. Also need to get a dress for the trip in late June - sometime. I wish there was no shopping.

This weekend I need to do some yard work - if it's not too awful outside. Maybe we'll get some cloud cover.

Happy Saturday (boogaloo)!

Mary

Sorry, I'm late to the party today.

We're having thundershowers today. Call me crazy, but I love thundershowers (thank my Florida childhood. . .they make me nostalgic). I'm making a cream of asparagus soup, and I'm in for the day.

I'm aiming to do a light yoga practice today. I ended up doing a very challenging podcast last night (1 hour and 15, and the poses were held for a looooooooong time.) So, I was thinking of you, Mary and holding a pose for an entire song. I was getting a little jiggley in warrior 2 after about 60 seconds, so this is something I'm going to set as a goal. I just read somewhere that Bruce Lee only did static hold exercises (like a wall squat, for example) as his primary exercise regime (outside of all the jeet kun do, I'm assuming. . .).

I'm chatty today (maybe I'm making up for the light numbers these past few days?)

    Anyway,
    take care, my pebbles.:flowerforyou:

I am so with you. I despise shopping for clothes. Shoes are impossible for me - it is so hard to find something that is comfortable for walking (i.e. no heel) but nice enough for work and not leather. Ugh. 3 classes, Mary? Wow!

The storms are just starting to roll in here, V - I love them, too. I grew up in the Midwest, so I miss them here (we still get them, but nowhere near as many).

I am doing lots of laundry and getting ready for my trip. I am not really looking forward to 12-hour night shifts... even though it shouldn't be too bad after the first night, it's still rough trying to sleep during the day and eat normally. My knee seems a bit better today, so I MAY try and do some easy yoga later. Or I may not have time (we're also going to see the new Star Trek movie with some friends). I am going to try and stay in control of my eating on this trip since I won't probably be working out as hard as I would like. I think I've been getting away with eating a lot more because I've been exercising, so I need to keep an eye on that.

    I guess I'm chatty, too!

    Stormy boogaloo! :flowerforyou:
