So we have this really good icecream stand here and I might go 1 time while I'm visiting my family. The icecream lists servings as a half of a cup. How many servings would go into a small sized icecream cone?

I know this isn't good for me, but it'll just be this once (maybe once a year if even that). I tried googling this but haven't come up with anything..

This is just a guess but I'd be surprised of there was less than 1 cup even in a small cone, I know some places will serve it in a small bowl if you prefer which would give you a much better idea of the serving size.

For soft serve, I always just use the Dairy Queen calories. They do it by small/medium/large. Not perfect, but a decent approximation.

If it's a real creamy ice cream cone, use the stats from Sonic's website or Dairy Queen. Less creamy, maybe mcdonalds.

A small is quite small, but you can't necessarily go by the 'height' of the soft ice cream. There's the density of it and how tightly they 'curl' it. A small cone can actually be very weighty, depending on who makes it.

A small cone is probably around 4-5 oz. You can always ask them 'hey, how many ounces you think that is? I'm tracking stuff...' and they likely know the size they're SUPPOSE to make it.

And the look on their face may tell you how close they usually get to that (usually it's over, not under.)

I love soft ice cream and frozen yogurt. Would never completely give it up. Enjoy!

Ice cream in and of itself is not bad for you. It is eating too much ice cream that is bad for you. Ask at the place you order it, and if they have no idea, just estimate it then add 10% to the number. You will be close enough.

I got a small cone and I put in the calories as 500, even though it may be below that, I'm not sure.

This is more important than the calories of a one off treat at a special location when you're on vacation. Enjoy!!!
