New to MFP and need support

Hello future friends... I'm new to MFP (2 1/2 weeks) Ive had mostly good days, but tend to have weekend downfalls. Ive been walking and doing water aerobics. Ive not lost a single pound. I love reading the posts on here and am still learning a lot from them, but I think having some friends that I can compare food diaries and excercise goals would help. I'm 43yo, 5'8 and 265lbs. I would like to lose 70lbs. Maybe I'm not excercising enough. Idk..

  • hi nice to meet you why dont you try and reduce your calorie intake not by much but it could kick start it for you i have 1250 a day i weigh currently 197 pound and have lost 11 pounds in 5 weeks i go to a slimming class and this is what the teacher has told me to do and its working good luck : ) abi

    Nice to meet you too! So, I just added a "sugar" column to my food diary and I may see the problem now. I didnt realize how much sugar I was eating daily. That might be part of it, yes?
  • could be just have a play around with it i think i eat to many carbs thats my next step good luck
