multitasking during exercise!

I had reached the point where I couldn't fit any more exercise into my day, and didn't have the self-discipline to eat less, so I've lost only 5 pounds net in months on MFP. I have finally broken through my weight plateau by multitasking with a new toy that combines websurfing and an exercise bike, the FitDesk, http://fitdesk.net/. It's basically a stripped-down exercise bike with a built-in laptop shelf. (There's also a version that's just the laptop shelf to attach to your existing exercise bike.) If you're handy, you can probably rig up something similar on your own.

Shazaam -- another hour a day of exercise, five pounds lost in the last couple of weeks, and a five-year weight low that I'm confident will soon be a ten-year weight low. Plus I get to rationalize both my websurfing time and more exercise, because this is time I'd be spending online anyway.

[not an ad -- just sharing info about a product that works for me when nothing else seemed to. No financial gain from this endorsement.]

I just watch netflix on my iphone while doing cardio using the built in shelf on the machine..bammm..more convenient since I use my iphone for a multitude of things, including but limited to email, work, web surfing, porn watching etc etc.
