Legs hurt - walking outside

So I was wondering what I could do different. Before I started my life style change if I went for a walk (the very little I did), my legs would KILL ME. I thought it was just from being out of shape and over weight. Dec 29th I joined a gym and have been doing lifting and cardio. When I am at the gym doing my cardio I use the elliptical and dont have any problems with me legs hurting. Now that it is getting nicer outside I have gone for 2 walks out doors. About 5-10 minutes into my walk my legs are KILLING ME. My shines, my calves, the outer part of my legs even the outsides of the bottom of my feet hurt. Am I doing something wrong? :frown:
