Embarking on a 700 mile solo road trip tomorrow. Tips?!
Options
So. I've done many road trips. This will be at least my 10th. Except this time I'm going it solo. I'm leaving tomorrow after work around 4pm, and plan to drive straight through until I get there, which is about 11 hours.
Normally we pack a cooler of food, but generally I end up only munching on things.
Audiobooks or music?
Solo games I could do in my head to keep myself awake?
Or any other fun tips you have? It'll be night time, so I won't really be able to stop and see things. I'm not on a strict time limit so I will stop and sleep if need be, but otherwise am hoping to do it in one setting.

Sounds like fun except the nighttime thing! I suggest making a mix CD or hooking your ipod up with some loud music. If you're tired, pull over and take a cat nap for ten minutes.0

To keep myself awake, I turn on the music and I sing
I also keep the window rolled down a little to get the wind on my face.
Have a safe trip0 -
Audio dramas (NOT audiobooks there IS a difference) pass the time rather quickly and efficiently .. Im a big audio drama junkie ( 70 minute one way commutes tend to do that to a person LOL) ... check out www.graphicaudio.net or www.theaudiodramadirectory.com. The audio drama directory has alot of good FREE stuff out there.. but dont expect hollywood level acting .. These people put out stuff just for the shear love of the craft.. A couple good "podio dramas" (podcast audio dramas) would be the Leviathan Chronicles (if you like sci fi) or "Were Alive" (a EXCELLENT zombie apocolypse drama into its third season).. Both of these can be found by searching for them in Itunes.. Let me know if this was helpful or not .. Good luck0

Thank you so much on the audio drama tip. I'm getting Were Alive, as it sounds pretty epic.0
