Just started mfp did great 1st week lost 4lbs second week stayed under calories same as 1st and gained one lb, I am confused and discouraged any suggestions?

  • Just stick with it....your body weight will naturally fluctuate and you will lose more right away....Good luck.

    You may go a period of time where you don't lose but you see the loss or feel the weight loss then all of sudden the scale catches up. Stick to your plan and work the plan!

    My weight loss was more like a set of wonky stairs than a continuous downward slope even though I was very good about maintaining my calorie deficit. Sometimes I'd go a few weeks with no progress and then WHAMMO!! I'd drop a few pounds in a day. As others have said, find a way to maintain discipline and stick with it. The results will come.
