Okay, so I just started working out and eating healthy about 3 weeks ago. My goal is to loose AT LEAST 15 pounds (or more if I could) by summer. I started off doing Zumba which I love, I have every single one of their DVD's. I have noticed that my some of my clothes are a bit bigger. I prefer to work out from home this time around, I used to do the gym thing but I noticed I've enjoyed working out at home better.
About a week ago, around the same time I discovered this wonderful site I got some of Jillian Michaels DVD's. I have the 30 day shred, Blast Fat Boost Metabolism, Ripped in 30 and No more trouble Zones. I started doing Level 1 of the 30 day shred 5 days ago and the first day I did it I realized that this is what I need to be doing to loose weight fast. I love Zumba and still think its a great workout but I realized I can't rely on just that.. The one thing I cant completley do from JM's 30 day shred are push ups. I have to say though, in the past 4 days my push ups have gotten better.
I have all these different great DVD's including Zumba. I want to keep on doing the 30 day shred, I did Level 2 for the first time today. I think i need to stay on Level 2 for at least 5 or more days, I want to be able to do correct pushups before I move on. After doing the 20 minutes of her video I did the Exhilarate Zumba DVD that was 55 minutes. I thought I was gonna die (in a good way though) after all that.
Do you guys consider Jillian Michaels 20 minute workouts enough strength training for a day or should I be doing more. I know I have to do enough cardio to loose weight plus strength training. So Im wondering if you guys could give me an idea of what I should do and how much of it everyday. I like to workout 6 days a week and give my body 1 day to relax. Im willing to do as much as I need to loose weight faster.
I just want to make sure Im doing enough and if Im not I want to know how much I should be doing and of what. Any advice would be great guys, Im a little overwhelmed now with all the different DVD's I have. Also, do you guys believe its possible to loose as much weight by working out at home if I were going to the gym?
Thanks in advance
