I dont eat salads

As a young girl in my early twenties i've had my fair share of struggle with weight loss - Today I went to a family get together and everyone thought I was starving myself, or not eating, because I have lost a lot of weight from weight training and eating right! They bbq-ed burgers and my aunt offered me salad. I said "ew I dont eat salads.." and my family was shocked. I grabbed a bowl of chips and started chowing down. That was my dinner. I was slightly offended that I was being told to not get any skinnier, then being offered salad. I've had my fair share of starvation diets composing of SALADS and pretty much JUST salads. But this year i've learned salad is a good snack. Add some good toppings, and maybe it will qualify as a meal. But plain salad to me just doesn't cut it.
I've learned to eat right and workout hard with weight training. I feel like just knowing that dieting or losing body fat doesn't require starvation, and quite frankly has the OPPOSITE affect of losing fat, makes me feel like I'm in a whole nother world. Im building muscle here while decreasing body fat. I need to eat!! And guess what - the results show way more than starving yourself. Also i'm in a way better mood. People get shocked that I dont eat salads - I really only eat them when I go out to a restaurant (cause who knows what restaurants put in their foods...). I eat hearty meals full of good nutrition and calories to fuel my body.
So - to all you newbies - learn from my past failed diets - DONT STARVE YOURSELF! and you do NOT need to eat only salads. Look at food as fuel for your body. and love YOURSELF!!

I am not that big of a salad eater either. A salad is usually something I eat with Spaghetti and garlic bread. I am counting calories and it is working. I eat whatever I want. Nothing is off limits as long as I stay within my calories. Do I eat junk all day? No. But I will eat a 90 calorie chocolate chip granola bar for my dessert. I think for me it is the moderation that is doing the trick. I have been doing this for 3 weeks. So it is still pretty new. But I don't feel like I am starving to death everyday. I am eating normal food and losing weight. So whatever I am doing seems to be working.0

I'm not big on salads either. But if they are made already, I'll eat them. Something about going to all that work preparing everything takes the fun out of eating it.0
