Peroneal Tendonitis

Hi Runner Friends!
I developed Peroneal Tendonitis in November, AFTER running a half marathon in October. I thought nothing of it and at the end of December it was so bad I couldn't walk. I went to my podiatrist and was in a walking cast all of January and February. Now I am out and walking in orthodics...slowly increasing walking speed. Just this week my doc cleared me for a 4mph walk and as soon as I start this up my foot has started hurting again. Will I ever be healed and will I ever get back to running?? Also, does anybody have any other remedies that might be helpful?
