Military Single Parents- Your Input Needed

Hello everyone. Our Miliary Single Moms (and Dads) group is compiling suggestions for next week's "Caring for People Forum." If you have a suggestion of things the Air Force can do to better imporove the quality of life for our Mlitary Single Parents, please let us know. You can learn more at the MSM website:

    You can send your ideas to me by message if you like. Even if you're not currently a single military parent, if you were at one time feel free to add your thought of what programs would have been nice back then.

    My biggest input is to continue funding the Youth Center and Youth Center programs. This resource has been invaluable to quality of life for my son, which translates into MY greater productivity.

    My next greatest desire is to arrange for overnight care at high-ops-tempo bases. We have an excellent coordinator here at BAFB who is always trying to help those of us in need find overnight care for our kiddos, but available providers are few and far in between, and the while local Nanny and Sitters registry can provide a background checked sitter for overnight trips, the average cost of $100/night plus gas is just not feasible for most of our Airmen.
