Good question! Have you searched on Google or Yahoo?
From what I've heard is that an average would be 1 gram per pound of body weight. This of course changes if you want more protein for muscle building.0 -
its 1.0-1.5g per LEAN BODY MASS :P lots of ppl get it wrong and think its by bodyweight... so now the question is... how do i geat my lean body mass? (LBM)
LBM=
your weight x BF%
as example to calculate LBM..
200lbsx0.20%BF=20lbs of fat
200lbs-20lbs=180 which is your LBM
then LBMx1.0 or w/e ur goal is.. when im maintnace i eat 1.25 when bulking or cutting i eat 1.5g0 -
So.. i am 147 lbs, my bf% is about 33%
So.. what approx 100g?0 -

Depends whether you want to build or maintain muscle mass. I up my protein when I do more weights at the gym, but reduce it again if Im maintaining.0 -

yeah comes out to be about 98.5-100g of protein if you are aiming for maintnace.. i would try to aim for 1.25 as you are
"cutting/loosing weight" this way you keep more of ur muscle with will make you look firmer and better sooner... so if i was you i would get 125g of protein a day
some ideas
chicken breast - 30g protein
can of tuna - 30g protein
protein shake - 24-30g protein
stick to lean meats :P0 -
98.49 would be your LBM yes....
But since your cutting you should take in 1.5g per LBM therefore 147g of protein would be what your striving for.
and Proteins equal 4 calories per gram 147x4 = 588 calories of your daily intake should be toward protein.0 -
