High reps low weights?...

Hi all,

Really need some advice as I keep hearing different things and don't know what to believe!

I'm 5'4", 135lb GW 126lb - I want to incorporate some strength/resistance training into my workouts but can't seem to get to the bottom of the 'high reps low weights' vs. 'high weights low reps' debate!

I don't want to bulk up at all, just want some lean muscle tone all over to and lose the final 9lbs, so what's the best way to go?
