Supplements?!?

I'm new to the world of fitness and wellness and I don't know about lots of things...

For example: Supplements

I'm anemic and need my iron but was never really consistent... now that I'm eating right i decided to also be aware of my multivitamin intake... then i realized that the way i was eating took care of my daily vitamin requirements... so i'm confused

Should i keep taking my vitamins even though ill be way over my requirements and what other supplements do you guys recommend for someone whose trying to loose weight and not get cut... also what's up with before and after work out supplements??

Can anyone shine some light??
