How much a day do you exercise? I am wondering because I burned 300 calories today and thinking of during zumba later (about 300 calories) but I dont know if I can eat 600 more calories today. What do you do in this situation? I have been at a stand still the last week and hoping maybe the extra exercise will get the scale moving again

(calories calculated wit hrm)

I am 5'7 and 220

  • I've been told many-a time to eat at least half to two thirds of your exercise calories back for maximum calorie burn and to keep your metabolism up.
  • I exercise an an hour to an hour and a half every day

I eat 100% of my exercise calories. Usually I eat between 2300 and 3000 a day.
  • I think you also have to consider how many calories are you consuming on average to start before exercising. Currently with my plan from MFP I'm allowed 1310 calories and I workout 1-2 hours 5 x per week. If I burn usually on a 1 hour cardio session about 500 calories I'm already back down to 800 cals, but I still manage to be under the daily calorie goal after eating back some of the exercise calories.
