Help me, personal challenge!

I found out my best friend now weight 4 pounds less than me. Our challenge to each other is 150 by June. She has being doing this for a year more than me. I need advice on helping me achieve and win this challenge.

    Get yourself a food scale and cut portion size. No processed or fast foods. Make your own so you have control of whats in it.
    50 % of your plate should be veggies. Find healthier alternatives for the things you love. Lower calorie whole grain breads, pita's and tortilla's instead of high calorie breads and rolls. Fresh fruits, Fresh or frozen Veggies instead of canned ( no sodium or sauces), Fresh meat, fish, beans, whole grain rice, quinoa, low fat dairy. Educate yourself on healthy eating. Good luck.
