Inspiration from the past...

I recently got a book from a friend. The book was on the topic of being an better sales person (my chosen profession). The book, "The Greatest Salesman in the World" was written 44 years ago by the author Og Mandino.
As I have been reading this book, several of the messages/chapters have come to shed greater meaning on areas of my life and present pursuit of personal fitness and weight loss. One chapter in particular spoke to me in such a way today. Especially when I seek persistence in the light of minimal progress or the occasional set back. I offer one excerpt of the chapter in the hope it might find meaning and provide inspiration to you. What follows is the excerpt and the words of Og Mandino.
I will persist until I succeed.
In the Orient young bulls are tested for the fight arena in a certain manner. Each is brought to the ring and allowed to attach a picador (bull fighter) who pricks them with a lance. The bravery of each bull is then rated with care according to the number of times the bull demonstrates he willingness to charge in spite of the sting of the blade. Henceforth will I recognize that each day I am tested by life in like manner. If I persist, if I continue to try, if I continue to charge forward, I will succeed.
I will persist until I succeed!
End of excerpt. So....what inspires you? How will you continue to charge forward and succeed?
