2 weeks notice part 2

Thanks for all of the advice everyone gave me regarding the 2 weeks notice I recently posted about. Now...slight predicament. Just received an e-mail from my landlord basically confirming she has someone that will be moving into our apartment before/ by end of month so we don't suffer any consequences from breaking the lease. I told her a few days ago we could be out by or before the 1st. I planned on putting my 2 weeks notice in today as soon as I heard from her. Now my boss has left the office and won't be back til this afternoon. If I put it in tomorrow she will expect me to work until the 29th. That starts a new pay period (I want to avoid having a check mailed to me) and will also conflict with our moving dates.

Do I set the notice on her desk and put a sticky note on it saying we can talk in the AM? E-mail her telling her it's on her desk and I would like to talk to her about it? I know she checks e-mail from home, soooo....

I just wanna get it over with. I hate my job and it will be a huge relief..but I also want to do the RIGHT thing.
