I usually use my Zumba dvd that is for "Flat Abs".... we do some moves that are good for "muffin tops"... but here, check out this photo I found of Ab exercises you could try!

If you mean spot reducing your stomach area fat, it's not goin to happen. Fat is lost from wherever it wants to be from on your body as you lose weight. Typically the first to go on is the last to come off. You can work on strengthening and toning the muscles in the area, but that won't be visible until the body fat % starts going down.

If you mean the actual muffin top that forms when you out on your pants, I personally just don't buy pants that muffin top me. I get a different cut or go a size up so they aren't cutting into the fat around my midsection and squeezing it over the waistband. (not trolling or being snarky, being honest about pants buying)

This is right on. I hold my last bit of extra weight around my middle, too. I am exactly the same height and weight as you- 5'6" and 144 and I have been exercising and muffin top is really the only real problem I still encounter. I feel like I am small enough except for his one area!

I totally agree with what you are saying. I've found pants that have just a tiny bit higher rise and they hold everything in. They are by no means grandma pants and in fact I had a compliment on them last night. A better fit does wonders!

Have you tried 30 day shred? In terms of me noticing a real difference in my body, it seems to have helped me the most in the waist area and I have much less of a waist bulge than before I started the shred. I went down a little more than a full inch in the waist (both the narrowest part of my natural waist and the belly). JM does a lot of 'core' work and it seems to do the trick.
