Fresh Veggies Question

I love fresh veggies but i usually only buy the frozen cause im the only who eats them and the fresh end up spoiling before they get used.I would like to get some celery and carrots for a snack but i know they will spoil before i can use them.Any suggestions?

You can freeze your own fresh veggies. I love to shop at my local farmer's market but I don't always get to cooking with the produce. For most things you can just slice them up into the size you would cook them in and then freeze them flat. Once frozen put them in a bag.
This works amazingly well with onions and peppers. Some things do better raw and some do better cooked.
You can also help your celery last longer by keeping it moist. It can still thrive in your fridge, same with fresh herbs.0 -
in the produce section at the grocery store, they often have pre cut carrot and celery sticks (cut by the folks that work there). It is not as economical, BUT if the larger portions are spoiling on you, then for YOU it would be more economical. You should be able to eat them within a couple days.0
