Can I eat something past midnight today?

Today was one of those days when everything goes wrong. So in a nutshell I got locked outside my house and just managed to get in after really long. It is 1am. I have only consumed 473 calories today and am hungry. But should I eat. Oh and I just started the 17 day diet two days ago. I have sauteed veggies in my fridge.

Yes you should probably eat.
For the record, eating late doesn't mean fat gain. Just eat to your allotted calories and don't worry about WHEN you eat those calories. You could eat them right before bed and be just fine.0 -
Of course you should eat.
IMO what is important is that your calories get tracked, and not so much which day they get tracked on. But since you haven't gone to bed yet, I'd probably put them on the previous day. I really, really don't think it matters though unless you like seeing pretty green numbers.0 -

If you're going to adhere to a rule, I would suggest understanding why it exists so that you can make informed decisions about when to break it. In this case, the "don't eat after whenever o'clock" exists because people tend to snack in the evenings and consume too many calories. The belief that it turns to fat while you sleep becuase you aren't "using it" is misgiuded. If you've eaten only 473 calories during the day, your body will use whatever you eat because you're a good 1100 to 1300 calories short.0

Yeah, just put them on today's calorie count. Or you could combine two days and eat more tomorrow if you want.0

The only time I really look at the clock for a snack or even dinner in most cases (cause im at school late) is the night before my weigh ins. I get up really early and want to make sure my body has had enough time to burn the calories I had eaten the day before. If I have weigh in the next day, i made a rule to myself not to eat past 7, which means I have to eat dinner before school between 3pm and 4pm because i dont want to eat in the car. If there is no weigh in, Ill eat my dinner when i get home between 9:30pm-10:30pm
If I were you, Id eat something! Your body is hungry!0
