i want to go to my zumba class tonight, but I have already done workout 1 of JM's body revolution and cardio 1, for a total of 1 hour.
Would it be too much if I went to zumba?
I'm thinking athletes in conditioning workout 3 hours a day of conditioning, so why not right? the more cardio the better?

Yes, you can workout too much.
Have you been working up to this amount of activity gradually? Working out too much and working out when tired can lead to burnout and injuries.
Plus: why so much cardio? zzzzzzzz0 -
It's just super nice outside and makes me want to go and workout. and yes, I have been working out consistently for about 6 months, so i think my body can handle it. and i want it.0

I think if your body can handle it and it makes you feel good, you should go. I can see the argument for giving muscles a break between strength training sessions, but the body can sustain much more cardiovascular activity than a lot of us get on a regular basis. Have fun!0

If you feel up to it, go for it! For awhile I was doing Zumba followed by kickboxing or weight lifting 4 days a week and loved it, had great results. I've switched up my routine but still get 1.5 - 2 hrs weight lifting and cardio 5 days week and still getting results. You just have to use your head and listen to your body because you can over do it but I think if want to do both once in a while it's perfectly ok! Have fun!0

it depends on what you define as too much. To me it doesn't sound like too much. If it starts to consume your life and mind, then it's too much. I work out every day at least for an hour and my family got on me pretty badly but I knew they were just concerned.0

My friend has been working out every day for at least 2 hours , one day she did 5!! and er calories are quite low. I told her she might burn out and she should at least up her calories. She has been doing this for quite a few weeks now and she doesn't feel she's seeing much results yet. She is already quite small and only need to lose abut 5 kilos if any.
But in your case as Long as your calories are decent and your not working out to exhaustion then it should be fine0 -
There is such a thing as over-training, yes. You risk injury and burnout. As long as you're giving yourself a rest day and listening to your body, two-a-days are not the worst thing. Also make sure you're hydrated and fueling properly!0
