Gatorade G Series Fit?

I recently started marathon training and today is my run + strength day. In fear of being hungry and running out of fuel, I bought one of the G Fit 01 bars to try out. Does anybody use these G Series products and...what do you think? I wondering if it will make any difference.

I have recently read articles that say a glass of cholocate milk is actually the best "recoup" thing you have have after an intense work out, most Gatorade/powerade/etc drinks are LOADED with sugar and crap you don't need. I haven't heard much about energy bars but I would assume it is similar.
