SUSPEND my gym membership??

I'm thinking about suspending my gym membership and buying more DVD's to workout at home.
1. I'm bored with the treadmill at the gym.
2. I wouldn't mind pocketing my membership $$ for a while.
3. I can't stand the overwhelming smell of bleach when I walk thru the gym doors. I want to gag.
This idea scares me tho. I'm working really hard right now on slimming down my thighs. I am doing 4 miles on the treadmill and 9 on the bike, 3 days a week. I am doing Jillian Michaels Shred it with Weights 2 days a week as well.
Are there DVD's that can help do the same or is walking/jogging/cycling the best thing for slimming the thighs?
Also, I said SUSPEND because in the winter months the gym is great when it's too cold to do anything outdoors.

I've heard that running is good for slimming down your thighs, but it may just be that those who are genetically predisposed to lose there who also happen to run are the ones saying it; expending more cals than you consume will make you lose weight, and eventually, the fat goes from everywhere, but you have no control over the order.
If you're worried about a drastic change, maybe hedge your bets for a couple of weeks or a month? Buy those DVDs and do only them *before* you suspend the membership. It's a bit of wasted money in the sense that you won't be using the gym that you paid for, but it will give you time to ensure that you're getting the results that you want from the DVDs and that you don't find that you have lost the motivation to work out once the gym impetus is gone.
I've lost inches and weight with all of Jillian Michaels' DVDs, but I also go to the gym, so I can't say if one is more responsible than the other. Best of luck. ^_^0
