I Think I Can .... I Hope I Can!!! Encouragement Needed!!

Hi there .... I am a 44yr mom of two and I started MFP about a month or so ago. I tracked my food but not every day. I am doing so much better but sometimes forget to track on the weekends.
I have a goal of losing about 15-20lbs and need encouragement to keep me motivated (please feel free to add me as a friend). I am trying to hit the gym at least three times a week now and always love how I feel after a good workout. My husband and I are also going to a yoga class once a week.
It seemed like the weight just crept up on me. I used to be super tiny in my teens and twenties (I grew up with perfect strangers telling me I was too thin and looked sickly). Somewhere in my 30s the weight started adding up. I work full time, and have two daughters (9 and 12) and two dogs so my life is pretty busy. I also try to make getting together with friends a priority as I believe we should surround ourselves with people who make us happy.
Well that's my story. P.S. I have to admit that I am a little proud of myself as I got up and went to the gym this morning at 6am for a Muscle Pump class. Thought about backing out but I knew a friend was waiting for me. I am so happy that I went.

well done on getting up for the gym .. I know I would have backed out at that hour lol ..... I need to work myself up to it slowly ... very slowly0 -

I can. And I was the weakest, most excuse prone fool ever there was. I put it off and put it off until I couldn't put it off... and I could still do it.0 -
I totally can relate! I absolutely need the encouragement of others to keep me going.
If I were to write my story. I think it would be almost the same! I am 42yo with 2 daughters (aged 11 & 13). I am a business owner and I have a dog.I was teeny when I got married and before kids. Now, I don't recognize the person when I look in the mirror.
I will absolutely friend you and we can encourage each other!

Thank you everybody for the great messages. I gained back a pound so feeling a little bleh about it but hey I know it happens. I won't let it discourage me.
