The secret is there is no secret. It's hard work and commitment.

Humuahahahahahaha!

*I should edit this and say I put this up because people would always ask me 'what's your secret?'. Like it's some kind of hidden scroll in a mountain monastery written by the fittest Shaolin Monks ever known... what's their deal?

:grumble: When people ask "what's you secret" they mean what did you do to achieve your success...

I know what it means. But if you could take my post with a little light-heartedness you might see I'm really asking why they feel like it has to be a secret. Occam's razor, people!

I get the same questions and it makes me laugh. I always tell them "It's super complicated. I eat less and move more!" And I make sure to whisper it so that they know it's a well kept secret.

They don't want the truth. I've tried, and it only makes me smack my head.

Of course there's a secret! We just don't let people know, otherwise we'd all be super fit and MFP wouldn't need to exist.

Geez, now I feel like a prick for not sharing, and I was coming here to chastise you about revealing it! Thank goodness that was avoided!

Yeah. I get this too. I say the same thing. Push away from the table and move more. Push away and take a walk. Pretty complicated secret! LOL Thanks I needed a chuckle today.

The secret to losing weight is..... Hard work, dedication and believing in yourself! I started this journey on November 9, 2011! Weighing in @ 212 and being 5'1 was no longer for me! Borderline type 2 scared me silly and I made a commitment to myself to lose the weight! Today I weighed 144! Around 1000 calories a day, 3 hours of Cardio a week. Look online for the Optimized living center in Cape Girardeau, Mo! U can and will change your life forever!

Lol I think the biggest secret is not to get discouraged and quit when the scale doesnt move the 1st month.

Ha, for me the secret has been to move more, life heavy stuff, and eat more. Totally counter-intuitive, but there it is.

For the most part, their mouths drop open and then they start pondering going on the HCG diet or something foolish. Oy veh!

For me, the eat less has a much bigger impact than the move more part. :(

I always wait for the look of disappointment when I break the bad news that it was indeed diet and exercise and not a magic pill.

I enjoy that look. I'm a little evil.
