WHEN Crown Shakur died of starvation, he was 6 weeks old and weighed 3.5 pounds. His vegan parents, who fed him mainly soy milk and apple juice, were convicted in Atlanta recently of murder, involuntary manslaughter and cruelty.

Wow. So then, it has the same effects the fetus if the mother is a vegan?

That was child abuse. No infant that young should ever eat anything except breastmilk or formula. Their digestive systems can't digest anything else. So sad. Nothing to do with vegan diets.

Nothing. Just like the vegan here posting the morality rates and red meat doesn't have anything against meat eaters.

This has nothing to do with vegan eating. That baby died from neglect and stupidity. Had his vegan mother been giving him breastmilk he would likely be alive and well today. They took it too far, and this does not represent vegans as a whole. Prejudiced much?

Soy milk is a terrible food to give a baby. I personally wouldn't want anyone to drink it. And apple juice unless it's freshly squeezed doesn't have that many vitamins. Babies should have breast milk or formula if that's not an option.
