This is my third week on MFP. I don't know if this is a pattern or what, but I keep getting stuck every week; week except for est week I was 189 ALL week except for Saturday and Saturday I dropped to 187. Now all this week, I'm 188. I started the 30 day shred Sunday if that makes a difference. Can anyone help me?! And don't make fun of me for weighing myself daily; right now its keeping me accountable.

    Your weight fluctuates daily, depending on multiple factors including water intake. If you are eating your calories and now exercising, don't worry about it.
    If you want to weigh yourself daily, fine, but don't make yourself crazy over being up 1lb today down 2 tomorrow and up 3 the next day. Again, your weight on a scale will fluctuate, so just keep that in mind when weighing in.

    Stick with it, 3 weeks is not a long time.

    couple of points that may / may not help.

    1 pint of water = 1lb of weight, we are talking about quite small differences here that could be explained by an extra couple of cups of coffee.

    a new exercise routine will almost always result in a small gain due to acheing muscles being full of water while repairing

    from what you described you are bang on course, averaging 1lb a week, thats not stuck!
  • I also weigh myself daily! no issues there :) A trick that works well for me is called calorie "shifting" . It confuses your metabolism and I believe keeps it going at a high rate( I am no expert just repeating what i have found). One day I will eat 1500 calories then 1300 the next day then 1600 then maybe a day of 1100 (that's a tough day). This usually sparks additional weight loss for me.
