Half marathon training

I want to train for a half marathon and like Hal Higdons program. I am currently up to 6.2 miles for my longest run and usually run no less than 4.5. My question is where do I pick up my training? I currently am running 3 days a week and doing no other exercise. By this programs I am about halfway through according to mileage achieved, but am worried about the lack of strength training and continuity. There is an awesome half scheduled here on 4/22 but I am thinking that is a bit ambitious!
Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
Thanks!!!

You can pick up the program according to your long run, so that looks like week 5. I'm thinking a 4/22 half is probably a couple weeks too soon. You may get injured if you push too hard to get trained and ready.

Thanks for the advice! I worry my legs will go through the 'super sore' stage you get when you first start running alot again.,,,especially when I have done no strength training whatsoever!
