How many calories do you think burpees burn per hour

I was thinking of doing them for about five minutes at a time (if I even can! I've only gotten to 15 in a minute), and doing them in separate terms. I weigh 107, how many calories would I burn in one hour of doing burpees?

Haha.. From reading the title of your post, I'm thinking, "damn if you can do an hour of burpees, you will never have a weight problem in your life and you should be a Navy SEAL"

It's all about heart rate. But my estimate for you, at 105lbs, is that 5 minutes of pure nonstop burpees is probably going to burn about 30-50 calories.

Lol, I've got muscle, anyways, I found it out. I actually added it to the database because they don't have it. So 60 minutes→392 calories.

I have found supporting information from http://www.nutristrategy.com/activitylist4.htm supporting that calisthenics, fast, pushups, situps and burpees have a break down of calories burned at different weight levels. Hope this helps

Use a HRM. I do sets of 10 with 1 minute breaks but only do 50 total, Great burn and great way to start a workout!

  • 395 calories for an hour of burpees does not sound like a lot for how hard they are. I mean no one will say that they're easy.

    QFT

I've heard that if you do an hour of burpees non-stop then whatever you eat for the next 24hours is zero calorie because of the after burn. True story

You should do the 1000 burpee challenge. I've seen it take over 3 hours for some people to do 1000 consecutive burpees.
