Ok so I was sooo excited to make an omelet for breakfast this morning. But the cooking Gods weren't with me and it was bad. Yucky in fact... but why did I eat it? Well i hadn't gone grocery shopping yet and eggs were what I had and it was getting late and I had to eat breakfast.

I learned something though. In the past if I had a bad meal it "just didn't count" I would've made more food or gotten more food as if the calories I consumed from the bad meal magically disappeared.

In the past calories from a bad meal don't count. Only those from a good meals did. It was like some form of taste bud amnesia.

So what I had a bad meal, I got my breakfast and now I'm planning a really good next meal.

Been there and done that.....:embarassed: but the good news is that you caught yourself, held yourself accountable and moved on. I used to have this crazy idea that if no one saw me eat it, it didn't count. :noway: Sort of like taste bud amnesia. What was I thinking? Planning your meals is very important... having the right food on hand will keep you from making major goofs. Why was your omelet bad? Eggs are good for you...... in moderation, of course! You've lost 41 pounds - congrats on that!! You obviously have done more right than wrong......

Good for you, newDZ! This whole thing is about behaviour modification and learning that when we do something wrong, we can learn from it and correct it. Of course, I'm still trying to learn and live that every day...sigh...but one day at a time, right?

And DANG! 41 pounds. I can't wait to find out what that feels like! Good for you!
