ok so I've struggle with my weight most of my life and probably know by heart all the dieting rules, to weight watchers (core and flex plan) Atkins, calorie counting, ect. i "know how to lose wieght" i put it in parenthesis because even though i know, to lose weight a person must eat but im afraid to, my limit is set at the least i can (1200) but usually at the end of the day i have anywhere from 300-500 calories left, im terrified of eating to many calories to soon in the day but then in the end i have too many left. i know this is slowing my weight loss so any advise please would be great thankyou!!

So you are only eating 700 to 900 calories a day?? Aren't you hungry??? Just start out eating 1200 and go from there. As I'm sure people will disagree with me... I eat 1200 cal a day and burn on average 350 cal from working out but I don't back my calories. Just try and eat a lot of protein... I plan out my meals and snacks in the morning and stick to it during the day so I'm not left eating a lot at night. So it's not so scary, eat your higher calories in the morning. I really don't think you will gain weight by eating 1200 calories a day. I've been doing this the way I stated above since January and have lost 1 to 2 lbs every week and I'm not hungry I even have a " cheat meal" every Sunday Good luck!! As I said I'm sure people will disagree with this but it has worked for me0

Don't be afraid to eat! Your body needs those calories to make it run properly and eating under 1200 is really not very healthy long term. I plan out my meals for the day and budget out my calories for each meal and snack. On days that I workout, I eat more calorie dense foods throughout the day and leave just a few hundred left over for dinner and then I use those plus my excersize calories to eat a nice dinner and sometimes even a snack after dinner.
Have you looked at your BMR numbers to see how many calories your body needs to function? Knowing that number may help you feel better about eating more calories and give you a better idea of what range you should be eating in.0 -

i took your advise and checked out my bmr (i hadn't previously) apparently mine is 1548 cal, im gonna take the advice above and start planning out my whole day so the calories get spread out and used up. thank you everyone!!!0 -
Like someone else said, just plan your day ahead of time and eat what you planned out with the correct amount of calories. There is no excuse to have that many left at the end of the day.0

That's a good start because now you know you should be eating at least 1548 calories per day so you can keep your body running properly. I set my calorie intake to a few hundred above my BMR and then I eat back all my exercise calories because I don't want to NET under my BMR number. I actually started to lose weight again after doing this since I had stalled out because I was eating too few calories for my body and exercising on top of that. It works for a little while but then you eventually stall out. I'm going to stick to this for the rest of the month and then reevaluate my numbers and up my calories again accordingly.0
