beginner runner

Options
So I am already negative for my calories because I caved and enjoy a tasty peice of cake. Shame on me!
I just recently started running/walking for abour 1-2 miles daily and i burn around 350-400 calories. What else could I do to boost my workout? I have to take my dog with me so their are some limitations. I only have the track and my house to work with. Anysuggestions

    Running in areas with incline, if it's an option. I run on a treadmill, so I can choose to do so. Just a slight increase in the amount of incline I'm doing boosts the calories I'm burning.

    Intervals or HIIT, i.e run faster for 30sec then jog for 1min and repeat that cycle for a set time, obviously you can change your interval times this is just a simple example
