Frustrated with the diet!

Hi! I am 37 years old...I currently weigh 144 lbs and have a gw of 130. I exercise hard approx. 5 times a week. I have been eating the 1200 calories a day the mfp has suggested but I dont eat back calories. A few weeks back I lost 3.2 lbs, but only .8 last week and dont think I have lost any this week. I have been reading on here about minimum calories, etc, but still feel confused, Any suggestions??

I suspect it is the same 'ole answer....you are not eating enough; increase your baseline calories or eat back all/some of your exercise calories, etc., etc.0

Agreed, when I hit my plateau I upped my calories for a bit based on what people were saying. It was hard to do for fear of gaining, but the weight actually started coming off!0

I like to eat back my calories some days then not eat them back other days just to experiment to see what my body will to and kind of keep it guessing. Not sure if this is a brilliant idea or not yet but so far I've been losing a little over 2lbs a week. I work out hard and on the weekends I usually eat all of my calories back (and sometimes more) but on the week days I'm a little more strict with myself. Feel free to add me and we can keep tabs on each others calories.0

i was doing the same thing only eating 1200 and working out daily. Once I started eating the amount of calories recommened with excercise I dropped 1-1.5 lbs a week. We all think if we eat less and exercise more we will lose more weight faster but it does not work that way. Hang in there.0

What goal loss are you set at - with such a small amount to lose you should be set at 0.5lb per week.0 -

Thanks for the feedback! I think I am going to try adding maybe 300 calories a day on exercise days. And maybe my setting is too high...mine is set to 2 lbs a week.0
