you need a minimum of 1200 calories a day. some people say this isn't true, but I've noticed that's what is it with me. if your diary was public would could help you more.0

Yeah. I don't know what your calories are set to, but if youre eating the base 1200 a day, you probably don't want to go over. Actually when I first started my diet plan, I felt the same way.........I found myself skipping snacks and being under 1200 frequently. But in the long term, it usually isn't healthy or sustainable and it might make you gain.0

Depends on what you're set to, I'm assuming it's not 1200 because if you'd only eaten 200 by now over the course of two meals + snacks and beverages (it's 4pm my time no idea about yours) then I don't believe you if you say you're not hungry If you're set to 2000 then maybe they're too high.0

I think i made my diary public, but i'm set to eat 2,010 calories a day or more if i have to eat my exercise calories back.0

you're doing pretty good. maybe for your snack, I see you have fruit often, add some peanut butter on it? would help with your protein and it's pretty high in calories
keep in mind if you add exercise to your diary, it subracts them for you. you don't need to take them into account yourself. 2000 is standard for maintaining weight but if you want to lose weight you should probably be around 1300-1600.0 -
Im set to lose a pound a week and i have lost five so far its just hard keeping up with how much they want you to eat when i'm not hungry but i don't wanna go into starvation mode either0

You need more fat in there - it will help you meet your calorie goal without feeling stuffed, plus fat is important for a lot bodily processes. I'm at a minimum of 2300 a day, plus exercise calories, and have found that full fat dairy, peanut butter, and nuts really help out on days when I'm not hungry.0

I think you should just give me your calorie allowance!!
I would be happy to help you out!!0 -
If you can eat 2000 a day and lose weight, do it. I'm afraid that I may be at 1200/ 1400 forever if I want to stay at my ideal weight. I'm not sure how my body will react if I start increasing my calories to something more normal.0

Two things have really saved me- nuts and cheese. Grab a mini baby bell and a half cup of pecans- 300 easy cals.
On days where I have tons of cals to catch up with (600 or more), I eat meal replacement shakes that are 300-600 cals a glass. I try to eat food first- and most of the time I can do it0 -
Increase protein to 1g per pound of weight or LBM if you are overweight.
Fats are at 0.45 x lb
Fill the rest of your calories in with carbs.
Start off around 1800 calories and modify from there.0 -
Eat them, EAT them, EAT THEM.
I'm a little bit hungry, can you tell?0 -
That's BS that you can't eat all of your calories. You're obviously choosing foods that are very low in calories if that's true. Grab some nuts, avocado, drizzle some olive oil on your veggies, throw flax or hemp on your oatmeal. Not being able to eat ENOUGH is rarely a real obstacle.0

Thanks guys i completely forgot about nuts lol i should get me some of those and peanut butter yum.thanks again for all the laughs too0

Your body needs fuel. I know once you get really good at eating low calorie it's totally possible to have eaten a ton of food and be under 1200 but it's just not enough for your body to run on. I like to make homemade Lara Bars to have as treats.0

Just wait till you realize you can have Nutella  No more trouble meeting your cal goals then!0 -
Also, instead of eating three larger meals per day, try eating 6 or 7 times a day with smaller meals. It's better for you, for one thing (don't take my word for it, google it!) and it may help with this situation.0

i wish i could but when your working two jobs its hard to get in small meals to be completely honest i may not even get to eat dinner tonight since i don't get off til nine and thats a bit late to eat and i'm usually too tired to cook anyways. I'll prolly settle for soup or a meal replacement shake just cus i know i should have something0

I adjusted my settings from the get-go, because mfp said my goal was like 1800 calories. No thanks. I slowly brought it down, I have it set for like 1375 or something now.0

dont worry about the small meals thing - it doesnt matter when or how often you eat, even eating late isnt a big deal if you can sleep on a full stomach
i usually hit about 2500 on exercise days - and 1845 on rest days.
cheese and bacon help ;D0 -
I have had to cut fresh cream from my porridge in the morning :frown: and stopped cooking everything in butter, :ohwell: so you could try adding those..0
