Does anyone have any good "starter" exercise video ideas? I want to be able to do something when I can't get to the gym but I'm not the smallest so some of these videos seem like they are too much. I have Xbox and the Wii as well. I tried Zumba but I'm just not there so any suggestions would be great!

Jillian Michaels 30 day shred would be a good video to start with imo. You don't need much... a yoga mat (if you're working out on hardwood floors) and 5 lb hand weights. The workout is only about 30 minutes but you do get a good workout doing it.

Beach body has some great beginner programs, and most the trainers in the videos are nicer than Jillian ;-)

If you'd like more help you can PM me and I'll get you some details!

  • I do Leslie Sansone walk at home video's. I love the 4 mile super challenge one. She combines walking with some other steps throwed in side stepping and knee lifts. I love her vidoes. I have to be careful because my knee's are not real strong and I can her workouts with no problems.

Jillian Michaels actually has a set of DVDs with the word "Beginner" right in the title. They are Jillian Michaels for Beginners-Frontside and Jillian Michaels for Beginners-Backside. I started with these in November and really loved them. :)
