Eating too few calories

I'm recovering from an eating disorder, and want to lose weight the healthy way. But I'm really struggling to eat a decent amount each day. Can someone kind of explain how eating around 1200-1300 actually loses weight? Sorry for sounding stupid but for me, this sounds so much.

no stupid questions.
your body uses "energy(adenosine triphosphate)" it gets from food. once your body no longer has this fuel.. it will dip into fat reserves. to do this you need to eat in a calorie deficit. its that simple. the amount of calories has 0 effect on weight loss. some people can eat more or less then others... everyone has a maintenance when it comes to calorie intake. say yours is 1500. and you ate at 1300. thats a 200 deficit .. you'll start to loss weight.
make sure you get enough amino and fatty acid's and don't go to far into a deficit.0 -
