19kg/43lbs less for my horse to carry, with photos

This is my first time posting in the Success Stories forum and I'm happy to be where I am now so that I can do it.
Of course I had multiple reasons for losing weight including better health, but weight loss for riding was one of my big motivators.
Now that I've lost most of the extra weight (just a little around the middle to go), I ride better - more balanced, less top heavy. My horse has to carry less and I can use less saddle padding which puts me closer to my horse in the saddle. (I ride treeless which my horse prefers but it means I have to be careful to spread weight with proper padding.)
I started with MFP at the beginning of August, 2011.
Some before and after photos.
From the side: before
From the side: after (my nice cool riding shirt makes the actual weight loss less visible but it's there)
From behind: before (those stripes on the shirt make it more obvious! I do have a few layers on there but I can't blame the bulges on that)
From behind: after (you can easily see that there is less padding under the saddle now which also helps my legs to sit against the horse's sides better)

Congratulations! You are doing great. One of my motivators for losing weight is also the benefits of better riding and comfort for my horse. I bet you both are a lot happier!0
