Want to See Results!! :(

Hi there! I'm the type of person that no matter what I do or attempt I like to see results really fast to keep me motivated and on the right track. Obviously this type of thinking doesn't really work for weight loss. I KNOW that the weight needs to come off slowly in order for it to stay off, and to be healthy. But, thinking the way I do (wanting to see results fast) does nothing for keeping me motivated, and when I don't see results as quickly as I'd like, I get kind of bummed. Do any of you have this problem too? How do you stay motivated?

For me, my motivation is not about the weight but rather the health. When I eat right (mostly) and exercise, I feel good knowing my body is getting stronger, I'm healthier, and can enjoy a more active life.
Instead of looking at this as a diet, it's better to look at this as a life style change ... and believe it and be committed to it. So much of your success is about your mental attitude. So find your successes in watching how your food choices are better, or how your exercise as improved.
One of my biggest motivators was having the dosage of my blood pressure medication cut in half, finally having normal triglyceride levels, and have both good and bad cholesterol levels in the good range. I can't tell you what it was like to have an email from my doctor say, "Your blood work is stable." It's been a long effort, and diet and exercise done properly was the answer.0 -
Everyone has there moments of doubt. I personally really want constant "results" as well and I truly believe I will get what I put in. If I put in the full effort needed for this I will get the full results. Will they happen over night? Absolutely not. But I keep working through it anyway - EVENTUALLY I will get to that goal.
What I think may help you is multiple ways to measure your success. Create some small goals that you can shoot for: water intake, staying under or at your calorie goal, measuring inches, or monitoring you body fat/bm, inches lost etc - not just focusing on the scale. The more goals the better! And reward yourself when you hit those goals!!!
