the mirror is nicer than the camera

I was recently on a trip with a group from my church where we took a lot of pictures. I was shocked when I saw a couple of the full body pictures of me. I was thinking "That's not what I look like in the mirror!!!" Why is it that the camera "adds 10lbs" so to speak? Even though I know I am overweight and am uncomfortable with my body sometimes, I usually don't think I look completely terrible. But THEN I see a picture....
